Viewing Aircraft Insurance Information

SummaryClosed  The Aircraft Insurance Information screen allows the user to search for and view a list containing aircraft insurance information and also select a listed row and view that operator’s OST Form 4507 and 6410/6411 filing documents in PDF format.  The data reflects aircraft that are insured and on WebOPSS Operations Specifications (OpSpecs) for all CFRs and includes air taxis (for on-demand CFR 135). On initial display, the screen displays a single search field (labeled with instruction text “You may search by Air Carrier Name, Certificate Number, Designator or DBA Name”).  Once the user searches using a value for one of the allowed search data elements (operator’s Air Carrier Name, Certificate Number, Designator, or DBA Name), the system retrieves eAIM system data, redisplaying the Aircraft Insurance Information screen with a large table-like grid and the View 4507 PDF and View 6410/11 PDF command buttons displayed above the grid.  Above this grid, the screen retains the value for the search’s data item, and displays the instruction text “Note: If coverage type is 'Combined' the Policy Number displayed on the grid is the Lead Policy Number”.

To Use the Aircraft Insurance Information screen and Insured Aircraft List:

  1. Using your Home Page or menu, click the Aircraft Insurance Information link/item.

The system displays the Aircraft Insurance Information screen. On initial display (before performing a search), the Aircraft Insurance Information screen displays a search field and static instruction text “You may search by Air Carrier Name, Certificate Number, Designator or DBA Name”.

  1. Use the screen’s Search field to search for and select an operator/aircraft:

    1. Decide which eAIM data element you want to use for the search.  You can use an operator’s Air Carrier Name, Certificate Number, Designator, or DBA Name values to perform the search.

    2. As you type text or number characters into the Search field, the screen will display a list of items (i.e., search results) matching the entered characters.

    3. Select a listed item using the displayed list of search results.

The system uses the selected item to retrieve eAIM system data, redisplaying the Aircraft Insurance Information screen with a list grid and two command buttons, View 4507 PDF and View 6410/11 PDF, displayed above the grid. Above this grid, the screen retains data item used for the search within the search field, and displays the instruction text “Note: If coverage type is 'Combined' the Policy Number displayed on the grid is the Lead Policy Number”.

The List grid displays rows of data within columns (from left to right) including:  Aircraft M/M/S, Registration Number, Installed Seats, On OpSpecs?, 6410/11 Filing Number, 6410/11 Filing Status, Insured Seats, Policy Number, Policy Status, Coverage Type, and Blanket Policy.  Two command buttons, View 4507 PDF and View 6410/11 PDF, are displayed above the grid.

  1. Use the Insured Aircraft List grid as needed to review the operator aircraft information.

  2. As needed, use the View 4507 PDF or View 6410/11 PDF buttons to open and view the respective OST Forms in PDF format (Note: These forms will reflect the operator aircraft’s current approved filings on record).

    1. To view the operator aircraft’s OST Form 4507 in PDF format, click the View 4507 PDF button.

OR

  1. To view the operator aircraft’s OST Form 6410/11 in PDF format, click the View 6410/11 PDF button.

The system displays the PDF of the document in a separate browser window.

  1. Close the window containing the PDF when you have finished the review.  The system returns to display of the previous screen.

Viewing an Aircraft’s Registration Form and Certification Form PDF Files

From the Aircraft Insurance Information screen, you can use the Aircraft Insurance Information List and the screen’s View 4507 PDF button and View 6410/6411 PDF button to view the filing form PDF files for the selected aircraft.

To View a Registration and Certification Form as a PDF file:

  1. Use the Aircraft Insurance Information List grid to locate a row for the aircraft you have chosen.

  2. Select the aircraft's row.

  3. As needed, use the View 4507 PDF or View 6410/11 PDF buttons to download the respective OST Forms in PDF format (Note: These forms will reflect the operator aircraft’s current approved filings on record).

The system starts a file download for the PDF, saving the file to your PC workstation’s default Download folder and displaying the browser’s PDF download message.  You can now open the PDF file.
